Joint Venture Overview

Gregory Black is an African American retired, service-disabled US Navy Commander. Throughout his 21-year career as a Navy Deep Sea Diving Officer, the third African American diving officer certified in Navy history, he had to face and overcome many challenges against seemingly impossible odds. Yet, he succeeded and retired with many honors and military decorations. He also holds a B.A. in Communications and an M.P.A in Public Administrations.

After retiring from the Navy, Gregory Black focused this drive and determination into building a business, and he chose to print because he's always had a love for the profession. In 2017, Gregory Black launched his dream, which is today, Patriot Precision Printing in Savannah, Ga. He is now the proud owner of this thriving printing business. 

After successfully completing the SBA All Small Mentor-Protégé Program (ASMPP) requirements, SBA approval was granted in November 2021 for a Joint Venture with Lewis Color. 

With 2021 marking Lewis Color’s 60th year, this small family business has grown from primarily serving the Statesboro, Savannah, and Hilton Head areas to servicing national accounts across the country, as one of the most reputable national trade printers in the industry. Lewis Color continually strives to offer integrated print solutions for printing resellers and brokers.

The Lewis Color production facility in Statesboro, Georgia, has state-of-the art offset and digital capabilities, multiple finishing options, a fully-equipped lettershop, and an innovative large format department, providing cost-effective results for clients.
